For WordPress, new features, improvements and bug fixes are provided in the form of updates to keep your website up-to-date and secure. This article explains how to enable the automatic update feature.
Managing the Update Function
Automatic updates are active by default for your WordPress installation, themes, and plugins, as well as the PHP version of your webspace. For security reasons, you should not change this setting.
To adjust the update settings anyway:
- Go to the Websites & Stores section of your IONOS account.
- If necessary, click the Manage Website button in the corresponding tile of your project.
- Click the Settings tab below the domain name.
- In the Automatic Updates data group, enable the Update All Automatically slider.
Optional: Use the Edit Settings link to select update items individually.
Please note that any changes may take a few minutes to take effect.
