Adding a page description and title in MyWebsite

In this guide, you will learn how to create a search engine optimized (SEO) page description for your MyWebsite.
What is a page description?
A page description makes the search result of your homepage more meaningful. The default setting is automatically applied to all subpages that do not have a customized description.
You can find instructions on customizing subpages in the article Editing the page title and description of individual pages.
Website personalization
- Log in to your IONOS account and open your MyWebsite project.
- Click on Settings in the main menu.
- In the Personalize and customize website section, click on SEO and footer.
- You will now see a form with fields for page title, page description, meta tags (keywords) to refine the search results, and the information for your footer including copyright.
- Click on the i symbol to the right of the fields to obtain more information. Finally, apply the changes by clicking on Save.
The settings you have made are also automatically displayed on all subpages. Customize the description and title of each subpage to further improve the display of your search results.
