Website Design Service: Getting Started

You have decided in favor of our website design service. In this article, you will find out what steps are required to optimize your online presence. These are briefly summarized below. Detailed information on the individual steps can be found further down in the article.

Booking an appointment for the initial consultation

If you order by phone, you can make an appointment directly with our website design team. If you order via our website, you can also book the initial consultation through the link in the email. During this initial meeting, you will discuss the content, the concept, and your wishes for your new website with our team.

Initial consultation with the website design team

During the initial consultation, our website design team will explain the next steps in detail, and record your wishes and requirements for your new website using a visual configurator on your PC. The website design team will take into account your wishes regarding the colors, fonts, and designs to be used as well as your requirements for the pages you need and their content. The website design team will then inform you about the next steps.

Design of the homepage

The website design team creates the homepage for you.

Feedback on the design

As soon as the start page has been finalized, you will be notified by email. You can then give feedback on our proposal in the CoOperator or accept this proposal. You will find the link to the CoOperator in the email. We need your feedback in order to continue with the design of your website. You can also provide the website design team with modified text or graphics, for example, in the upload center.

Implementation of your feedback and completion and finalization of your website

After receiving your feedback and the required texts and files, the changes are implemented by the website design team and the remaining pages of your website are created.

Final feedback on the website

Once your feedback has been implemented and the site has been completed and finalized, you will receive an email asking you to book an appointment for an acceptance meeting. During this meeting, your website can be connected to your domain. Alternatively, you can connect your website to your domain yourself. At the end of the acceptance meeting, the text editor will be activated for you. You can use the text editor to change existing texts yourself.

Notes

  • We recommend that you use the text editor for minor changes. The maintenance service is available for other changes.

  • Your website will only be published after quality assurance.

Quality assurance

As part of the quality assurance process, the website design team carries out a final check of your website.

Publication of your website

As soon as your website has been checked, it will be published.

Website customization through the maintenance service or using the text editor

Once your new website has been finalized, the website design team will activate the text editor. You can use the text editor to change existing texts yourself. We recommend that you use the text editor for minor changes. The maintenance service is available for other changes.

Depending on the package you have booked, you can request changes from our maintenance service by phone or email at different intervals. These are possible either quarterly, once a month, or an unlimited number of times. To have images or texts replaced, upload them in the upload center. Then inform the maintenance service. You can contact the maintenance service via the IONOS Customer Support page.
