Header and footer area

The header and footer are displayed on every page of your MyWebsite Now project and provide important information, such as the global navigation. This article provides you with the most important information for use in MyWebsite Now.
Please note: Editing the header and footer is only possible to a limited extent, both areas cannot be deleted.
Call up header and footer editing
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- Click on the Websites & Stores tile. If you have multiple website contracts, click Manage Website in the appropriate tile. The Presence Suite for this project opens.
- In the Presence Suite menu bar, select Website Editor. MyWebsite Now opens in a new window.
- In the left-hand menu bar of the MyWebsite Now editor, select Contents.
- In the Page content column, click on the header or footer section.
- In the detail window, move the mouse pointer over the top left-hand corner of the selected section.
- Click on the Options button that appears there. The available section elements are displayed and can be edited.
Edit header
Once you have clicked on the Header options button, a column with several tabs is displayed:
- Elements tab: Visibility for the Logo, Navigation, Description, and Social networks section elements. If you are using a shop, the Shopping basket, Search products, and Shopping account section elements are also included.
- Design tab: Graphical settings for the entire header element
- Layout tab: Arrangement of the section elements (Elements tab) on the website
If you want to make changes directly to a section element, click on the respective element. An additional menu is displayed
- Logo: Replace graphic, change size, and typographic setting options for text logos
- Navigation: manage pages, graphic, and typographic setting options
- Description: typographic setting options
- Social networks: enter profile address, and graphic setting options
Edit footer
Editing the footer options is identical to the header options described in the previous section. In addition to the section elements already described, there is an additional description field that you can use. For example, you could add a copyright line.
