Creating product variants in your Online Shop

Valid for online shops that were ordered by 2017.
Product variants are variations of the same product, e.g. a jacket in different colors and sizes. This article explains how to create variants.
Requirements
- You have created a product in your Online Store, e.g. a jacket.
You have created a product type in your Online Store, e.g. the product type jacket with the attributes color and size.
Generate variations
Log in to your IONOS account.
In the title bar, click on Menu > Websites & stores.
Optional: Select the desired website.- Click on Manage Online Store .
- In the main menu, select Products > Products.
- Click on the article number of the product to which you want to add variations.
- Click on the Variations tab > Start variation wizard.
- Select the product type. Activate the option Create variations with this attribute for all attributes for which variations are to be created.
- Click on Next.
- Activate all the variations you want to offer in the list, and if you want these variations to be visible immediately in your online shop, activate the option Make the resulting variation products visible.
- Specify how the variations are to be displayed in your shop. Variation products are created for all variations that result from the combination of attribute values. An overview appears showing all variation products.
Changing generated variants
You can edit the variation products at any time, e.g. to add images, change the price, or the stock level. To do this, click on the article number of the variation product.
