IONOS Inc. calculates and applies applicable taxes for all products and services rendered in jurisdictions where it is subject to such tax regulations. Products and services which are subject to tax vary primarily based upon the billing address, among other factors.

Singapore's Minister of Finance announced in 2022 plans to raise the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from the previous 7% to 8% starting in January 2023 and 9% starting in January 2024. For all IONOS customers with Singapore's GST already reflected in their invoices, these rate changes will be applied automatically as they take effect.

Certain organizations may qualify for tax exemption if they meet the necessary requirements.

    Requesting Tax Exemption

Business customers that have provided their GST registration numbers to IONOS are exempt from having the GST rates applied to their invoices. If your organization has been granted tax-exempt status, please attach a copy of the appropriate documentation to an email sent to taxexemptform@ionos.com.

    Processing Time

Processing time varies as documentation is reviewed and processed in the order in which it was received.

    Status Determination

After a review of your submission, you will be contacted regarding the determination of your tax exempt status. In some cases, additional documentation may be requested before a final determination can be made.

    Please Note

Tax exemption status cannot be applied retroactively for any previously generated invoices where sales tax has already been collected.
