Mailing Lists

A mailing list is a group of email recipients similar to a WhatsApp group. Emails sent via a mailing list are automatically sent to all members of the list.

A mailing list has its own mailbox which is used by all members of the mailing list. This way, all emails remain within the mailing list and do not automatically reach private email inboxes.

For this reason, the membership to a mailing list usually takes place through registration and activation by an administrator. The administrator can grant the rights for reading and/or writing emails. A mailing list can be changed at any time by adding or deleting email addresses.

Webmail from IONOS offers the ability to create mailing lists. Other email programs like Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail have their own solutions for mailing lists.
