Connect Your Domain to Microsoft 365 from Third-Party Vendors (Simplified Setup)

You can connect your IONOS domain to Microsoft 365 with just a few clicks. This article applies to Microsoft 365 purchased from an external vendor.
How to connect your ###COMPANY_NAME###domain to Microsoft 365:
Log into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
On the Microsoft 365 Admin Center home page, in the Domains pane, click Add Domain. The Add Domain window opens.
Enter the desired IONOS domain and click Next. The Check Domain window appears. The Log In to IONOS (Recommended) option is the default.
Click Next. The IONOS window opens in a new browser window.
Log in to IONOS.
To connect your website, click Allow. Your IONOS domain will be connected to Microsoft 365. The Update DNS Settings window then appears. The Add DNS records for me (recommended) option is the default.
Please Note
Please check the DNS settings of your IONOS domain if you cannot automatically connect your IONOS domain to Microsoft 365. Make sure that a CNAME record is created with the hostname and the value _domainconnect.1and1.com.
Click Next.
Activate the online services you want to set up.
Click Next. The IONOS website opens in a new browser window.
Click Allow. The required DNS records are added for the domain.
Click Next, and then click Finish.
